Software & tools

Research workflows translated into usable web tools.

These applications turn environmental data-processing and crop-water modeling workflows into accessible, reproducible interfaces without requiring users to write custom code.

Eddy covariance FG

Flux Gap-Filling Tool

Local-first scientific software for post-processing already-computed half-hourly or hourly eddy-covariance and environmental data. FluxGapFill combines transparent data mapping and quality control with validated gap filling, flux diagnostics, water and energy analysis, carbon processing, footprint analysis, and publication-ready exports.

  • Imports processed EddyPro, Campbell TOA5, AmeriFlux/FLUXNET, CSV, TXT, TSV, and spreadsheet datasets
  • Explicit variable mapping, unit checks, quality control, gap diagnostics, and provenance tracking
  • Blocked validation and adaptive gap filling using established MDS and machine-learning approaches for LE, H, and NEE
  • Optional ET, energy-balance, u* threshold, carbon partitioning, and footprint analyses when required data are available
  • Local browser-based processing with downloadable results, audit products, and journal-ready PNG/SVG figures
FAO-56 WB

Soil–Water Balance Modeling Tool

A practical interface built around the open-source pyfao56 framework for simulating dual crop-coefficient water balance and crop evapotranspiration.

  • Weather, soil, irrigation, and crop inputs
  • ETc, root-zone depletion, and water balance
  • Exportable results and figures
  • Useful for researchers and irrigation practitioners
Design principle

Reduce friction between analysis and application.

Research software is most useful when the scientific logic remains transparent while the interface makes routine tasks easier to run, inspect, validate, and reproduce.
